EASTPAK invited NO CURVES as one of the italian artists to presents the third edition of Eastpak Artist Studio, the creative workshop involving  international artists in a charity project made in collaboration with Designers against AIDS for the construction of a series of limited edition works of art.

In summer 2013, inside his temporary studio ( thanks to SantaMarta for hosting ), the  FIKERA Studio shots the video that present the project.

“THE ICON” is the title of the sculpture that was born during those days :

“Transfiguration and transformation are the concepts through which I articulate my work. The lines are the traces by which the deep essence of the artwork is revealed.
Each surface and object is restructured and reassembled to revive as icon.
The Eastpak backpack, with the gesture and the use of adhesive tape, is transformed into sculptural piece, symbol of travel and container of life experiences.
Being a precious icon, a diamond capturing geometries of light and shadow, it incorporates in its futuristic structures of angles and lines, the sense of minimalism, integrity, precision and strength.”
